Shùn and Nì Chán Sī Jìn 順與逆纏絲勁 Part 4

We can also practise Nì Chán Sī Jìn 逆纏絲勁 individually. Stand in the same wide middle, horse stance as before with both palms in front of the Dāntián丹田 and facing down. Push both palms outwards so they circle up either side of the body, up to shoulder level. Now turn the palms so they face forwards, keep circling, slightly higher than the top of the head, allow the palms to face down, then start to bring the palms down the centre of the body, along the Rèn Mài  任脉 finishing at the Dāntián. Repeat the Nì Chán Sī Jìn. Remember to maintain the stance. As the hands circle up the body should rise a little and we breathe in. As the hands do down along the Ren Mai, the body should sink a little and we breathe out.

The Shùn and Nì Chán Sī Jìn 順與逆纏絲勁 as the same except that one circle goes in and the other circle goes out. The outwards circle is Shùn Chán Sī Jìn 順纏絲勁 and the inwards circle is Nì Chán Sī Jìn. So they follow the Tàijí太極 principle, on Yīn 陰 and one Yáng 陽.
